Bragging Time!

Has everyone seen the latest reasons for us to do a little embarrassing dance around the office?

Did you know that Tina Fey was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for Humor last night? Well, she was! We cannot wait to publish her first book, Bossypants, in April, 2011. If the bordering-on-absurd number of excited emails and phone calls I receive about it daily are any indication, we’re not the only people who are looking forward to the book.

James Hynes’s NEXT was deemed one of the Huffington Post’s Anis Shivani’s Best Books of 2010. Not to be outdone, Joshua Ferris’s THE UNNAMED is one of’s top 100 Books of 2010. We highly agree with both choices!

And last but not least, RAB acquired a wonderful debut novel by Ted Thompson—The Land of Steady Habits. Here is the official announcement, but when you read it to yourself, please add a cheerful “hooray!!” to the end.

A founding director of 826NYC and recent Iowa Writers Workshop graduate Ted Thompson’s THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS, a debut novel about a man from one of Connecticut’s affluent dots along the Metro North train line, who angrily rejects his career and family and searches for a meaningful new community during his first holiday season alone, to Reagan Arthur at Reagan Arthur Books, by PJ Mark at Janklow & Nesbit (NA).
