Laura,
I have a genre-bending historical novel that includes Texas Rangers killing Comanches and William Lloyd Garrison at work on the Liberator.
I take Texas history and remind readers that the heroes of the Revolution against Mexico owned slaves, hated Mexicans, subjugated women and killed Indians on sight.
What’s not to like?
It’s lively!
